Jurisdiction
RULE 37: "The jurisdiction of each standing committee, in terms of legislation and administrative activities of its particular concern, shall be as follows:
16. The Committee on Special Events and Cultural Affairs shall have jurisdiction over all special events and related programs of the City, including parades, fests, tastes, community and neighborhood fairs. The Committee shall also have jurisdiction over those matters which affect the cultural growth of the City and its cultural institutions including matters generally affecting the Cultural Center of the Chicago Public Library.
